Talk Title: Humpback whales from breeding to feeding grounds and everything in between.
Shawna is a scientist, and educator. She has a bachelor and masters degrees in environmental science and a bachelor of education. Shawna and her husband Kris own and operate Sea of Whales Adventures which is based in Trinity, Newfoundland. Their mandate is to provide superior whale watching experiences including educating their passengers about these animals, the issues they face and the research that we do all while being respectful of the whales on their feeding grounds. Shawna has taught for Memorial University, The Champney’s West Aquarium and in local schools as well.
