Legacy Gifts
Legacies do make a difference! Legacies can contribute to helping people, to creating positive impacts within a community and to investing in future opportunities for both.
Legacy giving, often called planned giving, is a type of charitable giving that can include bequests in a will, gifts of life insurance, gifts of RRSP income and more.
It is an excellent way to thank an organization that has had a positive impact on your life, to honour someone you love, to assist future work in the preserving, presenting and promoting of our heritage or to support an area of learning or research that holds special significance for you.
A legacy gift can also be a very practical addition to your financial or estate plan. In many cases, legacy gifts can relieve the tax burden of your heirs.
Trinity Historical Society has been the recipient of various forms of legacy giving in the past that has included bequests, In Memoriam gifts, stocks; and in-kind.
The development of our legacy program has several options that you can choose from in your planning. Please take some time to review and let’s have a chat.
